TRIP TO PERU FOR 12 DAYS

DAY 1

LIMA INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL.

Assistance on arrival at Lima's “Jorge Chávez” International Airport and transfer to the selected hotel.

PM: LIMA - CITY TOURS THROUGH THE CITY.

LIMA ANCESTRAL: We begin our tour with a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid”, a magnificent ceremonial and archaeological center built in the 4th century AD. and considered "sacred town" by the Incas.

COLONIAL LIMA: We visit the Historic Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings, highlighting the Paseo de la Republica, the Plaza San Martín, the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, catacombs from the Cathedral of Lima, the Municipal Palace among others.

CONTEMPORARY LIMA: Get to know the most traditional residential areas of Lima, El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar.

DAY 2

LIMA - PARACAS ISLAS BALLESTAS - NASCA.

03:15 am. They will pick you up to take you to the bus station, we will move from Lima to the Paracas Peninsula, where the most important wildlife sanctuary on the Peruvian Coast is located.

07:25 a.m. You will be received at the bus station for transfer to the private dock in Paracas where the boat ride to the Ballestas Islands will begin. During this 2-hour tour you will see the figure of the Candelabra, a gigantic figure engraved in the desert of the Paracas Peninsula. Then we will continue to the islands where you will enjoy the fauna of this beautiful place, such as the variety of birds such as pelicans, cormorants; many sea lions and Humboldt penguins.

DAY 3

NAZCA - NAZCA LINES - AREQUIPA.

Early in the morning, after having breakfast, we will go to the Nasca aerodrome to board a plane over the mysterious Nazca Lines. Flying over the Nasca lines takes 30 minutes in the air from Nasca we will take off towards the lines and you will be able to see 13 figures: The Astronaut (135 meters), the hummingbird (97 meters), the monkey (110 meters), the condor (135 meters ), etc. Before the flight you can watch an informative video about the different theories about the Lines. Cessna aircraft models 206 and 172 fly over with a pilot and a tour guide, to ensure that you have complete and accurate information about the Lines; We fly left and right around the figures, that means you will have no problem observing them.

In the afternoon we will travel to the city of Arequipa (8 and a half hours approx.) Through deserts and valleys of the coast.

DAY 4

AREQUIPA - CITY TOURS SANTA CATALINA CONVENT.

Free morning to acclimatize.

DAY 5

AREQUIPA - COLCA CANYON.

Early in the morning, you will embark on an incredible trip of approximately 4 hours by bus to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world (3,400 mts.), Lunch, dinner and overnight at the selected hotel in the Valle del Colca.

DAY 6

COLCA - CRUZ DEL CONDOR PUNO.

Very early in the morning we will leave for La Cruz del Cóndor, where usually the largest bird in the world can be seen in flight. On the way back we will visit the towns of Yanque, Coporaque, Achoma and Maca, after lunch we will go to the city of Puno.

Arrival in Puno and transfer to the selected hotel.

DAY 7

PUNO - LAKE TITICACA UROS AND TAQUILE ISLANDS.

Early in the morning, we will go on an unforgettable boat excursion on Lake Titicaca to visit the Floating Islands of the Uros, ancient pre-Inca settlers of the lake, known as the Aquatic Tribe. These Andean natives build their own islands by periodically adding new layers of totora, (Scirpus Totora) vegetable fiber from the papyrus family.

They also use this material to build their houses and boats. We will continue our excursion to Taquile, inhabited by Quechua natives who have developed, from generation to generation, an efficient and original social system as well as a magnificent weaving technique. After having lunch at a local inn in Taquile, we will walk through its hills and archaeological sites.

In the afternoon return to Puno and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 8

PUNO - CUSCO (Tourist bus) THE ROUTE OF THE SUN.

Breakfast, transfer to the bus station and departure to Cusco, this bus makes stops to visit places of interest such as archaeological sites, museums, artisan markets, appropriate time, typical lunch of the area.

In the afternoon arrival in Cusco and transfer to the selected hotel.

DAY 9

CUSCO - CITY TOURS GUIDED VISIT TO THE NEARBY RUINS.

Time to get up, have breakfast and enjoy a nice morning to acclimatize to the altitude and have lunch at the hotel.

In the afternoon, we will visit the city of Cusco on a guided tour, visiting the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha. The excursion continues outside the city to visit the Inca complexes of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuamán. Return to Cusco.

DAY 10

CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS - AGUAS CALIENTES.

Guided excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, on the Urubamba River, to visit the Indian market in Pisac. Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

In the afternoon, walk through Calca and Urubamba on the way to the Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo.

Departure by train from Ollantaytambo to the town of Aguas Calientes, arrival and assistance.

DAY 11

MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO.

Early in the morning and after breakfast, transfer to the bus station for the Citadel of Machu Picchu, known as "The Lost City of the Incas". For 30 minutes to the wonderful citadel.
